AVIVA CSC is exiting stealth mode after many months of preparing and planning! Because of a small executive team and the regulations of starting a cannabis social club, it was decided to pivot from the planned “community model” (together and slower) to the stealth mode of a “startup model” (fast and independant).
Current status:
AVIVA CSC will be a non-profit cooperative (Genossenschaft/e.G.) instead of a register association (eingetragener Verein/e.V.), and will focus on growing cannabis and supporting sustainability with cannabis/hemp.
AVIVA CSC will secure a location soon while applying for a CSC growing license. Avoiding spending waste is key to surviving the first 6-12 months.
AVIVA CSC made the choice to pivot from member funded to financing the club. Before we accept member money, we wanted to finish a workable plan before we engaged with hundreds of members at once. Most legal cannabis operation in California/Oregon/Colorado ultimately failed because their planning failed or they spent too much time/money/energy on the wrong things. Potential members did not hear from us for a short while because people respect what they pay for, and we wanted to put our time and attention only into forming a club worth paying for.
“Stealth Mode”
The decision to engage in “stealth mode” originally occurred because of 3 reasons:
A) financial planning significantly changed once potential members were interviewed resulting in the need to change our original financial plan
B) the technical nature of finding a location (200m rule, security, and avoiding mold/chemicals)
C) the wild west of cannabis in Germany, and planned partnerships such as CSC-HB and expensive vendors (tracking sales data, etc) did not work out
